Norman Cross, Milnor, named 2008 Ransom County Agriculturist of the Year

Norman Cross, Milnor, was honored as the recipient of the 2008 Ransom County Agriculturist of the Year Award on Tuesday evening, March 11. The annual awards banquet, traditionally held at the Ransom County Expo Center, Lisbon, is sponsored by the Ransom County Crop and Livestock Improvement Association (RCCLIA). This was the 44th consecutive year of the event.
Paul Billing, Enderlin, RCCLIA chairman, opened the association’s annual meeting, which preceded the award ceremony. The main item on the agenda was the annual election of directors. The following were elected to three-year terms on the board: District 1 - Jeff Lyons, Lisbon; District 4 - Shane Schlecht, Enderlin; and Industry Representative, Dan Olson, Lisbon.
