Bruce Froemke
Bruce Froemke, age 65, of Lisbon, N.D., passed away on April 27, 2008, at Innovis Hospital, Fargo.
Bruce Wesley Froemke was born in Fargo, N.D., on August 30, 1942, to Wallace and Lenore (Huseth) Froemke. He grew up and attended school in Sheldon, graduating in 1960. Bruce married Marilyn Bowman on November 28, 1964, in Sheldon. Together they went on to take over the family farm, as well as partner with his father, Wallace, in the Froemke Trucking Company. Bruce also worked several years at National Sun Industries, Enderlin, N.D., and Bobcat in Gwinner, N.D.
Bruce was first and foremost a family man. He enjoyed family activities, camping, and all outdoor sports. Bruce loved attending the activities of grandsons, the “six pack.” He was active with the McLeod Museum, Lisbon Opera House, and Anselm Trinity Lutheran Church.
He is survived by his wife, Marilyn, and their children: Rhonda Schumacher (Robert) of Mapleton, N.D.; Tanya (Steve) Olson of Lisbon, N.D.; Trisha Levos (Jim) of Lisbon, N.D.; and Lee Froemke (fiance Carlie Ames) of Fargo, N.D.; six grandchildren (Sam and Gregory Schumacher, Seth and Sye Olson, and Ben and Brandt Levos); mother Lenore Froemke of Lisbon, N.D.; two sisters, Becky (John) Lingen of Perham, Minn., and Cyndee (Joe) Chesley of Enderlin, N.D. He was preceded in death by his father, Wallace Froemke. Visitation was Tuesday, April 29, at Armstrong Funeral Home, Lisbon. The funeral was Wednesday, April 30, at Anselm Trinity Lutheran Church, Enderlin
Pallbearers were Seth Olson, Sam Schumacher, Sye Olson, Gregory Schumacher, Ben Levos and Brandt Levos. Music was provided by organist Janet Froemke, and special music by Darrell and Dianne Evenson. Internment at Oakwood Cemetery, Lisbon.
Armstrong Funeral Home, Lisbon, was in charge of arrangements.
