Cecelia “Celia” Brunton, of Peoria, AZ, passed away on October 12, 2008.
Celia was born on September 5, 1925, at Java, SD, to Anton and Emma Weisgram. The family lived in Bowdle, SD, and Jamestown, ND, before moving to Lisbon in 1941.
Celia graduated from Lisbon High School in 1942. She was married to Thomas Brunton in 1943. Tom was in the military, so they lived in many areas before settling in the Phoenix, AZ, area in the 1950s.
She is survived by her children, Holly (Mike) Zody, Tony (Judy) Brunton, and Steve (Vera Juerink) Brunton; grandchildren Michelle (Bill) Tury, Scott Brunton, Kathy (Jon) Thielen, Troy (Christy) Brunton, and Gail (Isaac Leavitt) Zody; seven great-grandchildren; sister, Elsie Bentz; sister-in-law Elga Weisgram, Lisbon; as well a her dear friend Carl King.
Celia was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Lila Bieber; and brother, Joe Weisgram.
In addition to the survivors listed, Celia also leaves behind many nieces, nephews and friends. All will truly miss her. A Celebration of her life was held at noon on Sunday, October 19, 2008, at Phoenix Memorial Park & Mortuary, 200 West Beardsley Road, Phoenix, AZ.
