On June 20, Lisbon took part in an eight-team tournament held in Valley City. Lisbon won in the first round 14-1 over Hope-Finley, lost in the semi-finals to Wishek 1-3, and won the third-place game 10-9 over Carrington.
Lisbon 14, Hope-Finley 1
Tyler Mittleider took the mound and shut down Hope-Finley. Tyler gave up 1 run (1 earned) on 3 hits, walked 2 and s
truck out 7 batters to earn his 5th victory of the season.
Offensively, Lisbon collected 11 hits and 9 walks to get their 14 runs. Dylan Urbach led this attack going 4 for 4 with 3 runs scored and 4 runs knocked in. Tyler Mittleider collected 2 hits and scored 3 runs.Lisbon 1, Wishek 3

Wishek’s pitching duo of Andrew Jochim and Chance Kurle shut down the Lisbon bats, as Lisbon only collected 2
hits and 2 walks, and got only 1 run in the ball game. Derek Lyons got the loss as he pitched a complete game (7 innings), gave up 3 runs (1 earned) on 8 hits, walked 2 and struck out 8 Wishek batters.
Wishek also played an errorless game in the field, while Lisbon committed 4 errors.
Lisbon and Wishek appeared to be the leaders out of District 6. Lisbon is currently 2-2 against Wishek this season.
Lisbon 10, Carrington 9
Trailing 4-9, Lisbon scored 3 runs in the bottom of the fifth inning, and 3 more runs in the bottom of the sixth inning, as Tanner Bittner got an RBI infield hit, and Hunter Mairs slid head first into home plate to beat the throw to cap off the walk-off victory. Lisbon and Carrington only played 6 innings due to the 2-hour time limit.
Lisbon was led at the plate by Dylan Urbach. Dylan was 3 for 3 with 2 runs scored and 2 RBI. Tyler Mittleider and Hunter Mairs collected 2 hits each.
Hunter Mairs earned the victory out of relief, pitching the last inning and one-third. Hunter allowed 0 runs an
d struck out 2 batters. Hunter is 3-1 on the season.
Jace Berg pitched 4⅔ innings, giving up 9 runs (4 earned) and striking out 5 Carrington batters.
Lisbon 11, Lidgerwood 5
On June 19, Lisbon traveled to Lidgerwood for a double header. Lisbon pounded out 14 hits and scored 11 runs. Lisbon was led by Jace Berg, who went 4 for 4 at the plate and knocked in 3 runs. Derek Lyons collected 2 hits, scored 3 runs, and had 4 RBI. One of Derek’s hits was a home run over the right center-field fence. Hunter Mairs had 3 hits and 2 RBI.
Kayne Griffith pitched a complete game (7 innings). Kayne gave up 5 runs (1 earned) on 10 hits, and struck out 11 Lidgerwood batters.

Lisbon 8, Lidgerwood 2
Lisbon also took the second game of the double header. Joe Nelson led Lisbon at the plate going 2 for 3 with 3 RBI. Willy Roman, Gage Holmstrom, and Jenner Manske collected 2 hits each.
Willy Roman pitched a complete game (5 innings). Willy gave up 2 runs (2 earned) on 4 hits and struck out 7 Lidgerwood batters.
Lisbon 10, Enderlin 0
On June 23, Lisbon traveled to Enderlin for a double header. Lisbon and Enderlin both played their B teams.
Kayne Griffith led Lisbon at the plate going 2 for 3 with 2 runs scored and 2 RBI. Gage Holmstrom also collected 2 hits and knocked in 1 run. Willy Roman, Jenner Manske, Taylor Hoff, Wyat Johnson, Joe Nelson, and Dalton Witchey each had a hit.
Kayne Griffith took the mound and pitched a 3-hit shutout. Kayne struck out 4 Enderlin batters and is now 3-1 on the season.
Lisbon 18, Enderlin 0
Willy Roman pitched a 2-hit shutout on 4 strikeouts and improved to 3-0 on the season.
At the plate Lisbon was led by Willy Roman, Kayne Griffith, Gage Holmstrom, and Wyat Johnson with 2 hits each. Taylor Busche had 1 hit and 2 RBI.
Lisbon’s Babe Ruth team is currently 18-3 on the season.
