*Fargo North defeated Grand Forks Central in girls soccer behind Alyssa Dehne’s two goals.
*The new head football coach at Mayville State University is Derek Schlieve. Derek’s father taught and coached in Montpelier and was the superintendent at Ellendale High School.
*Jayce Seelig and Jon Evenson of Northern State University’s track and field teams were supposed to compete at the Sioux City Relays on Apr. 16 but because of inclement weather ran at Seward, NB, the home of famous LHS alum, Perry Weber.

Roger Redetzke lost his battle with cancer on Apr.13, 2011. He passed away at the Hospice House in Rapid City, SD. He was 77 years old.
Roger was born in Fargo on Oct. 3, 1933, to Roy and Alice Redetzke.
He attended Aggassiz School the first nine years and spent three years at Central High in Fargo.
At the age of 16 he began working for Rex Brace, a rural Lisbon rancher. He worked for Rex for 11 years. On Nov. 20, 1955, he married Herma Bjugstad. They had two children, Randy and Carla. Read the rest of this entry »
