Eveline (Evie) M. Quinnell, 82, Bismarck (formerly Lisbon), passed away on Tuesday, May 10, 2011 surrounded by her loving family after a battle with cancer. Services were held Saturday, May 14 at Grace Lutheran Brethren Church, 503 N. 24th Street, Bismarck, with the Rev. Allan Shaner officiating. Interment was at Oakwood Cemetery, Lisbon, at a later date.
Eveline was born Sept. 20, 1928 to Louis and Luella (LaPlant) Hoffmann in Watford City. Evie enjoyed playing her guitar and singing, gardening, sewing, fishing and spending time with family, especially her four daughters. After the death of her husband in 1966 Evie was employed by Lewis Truck Lines and then Bobcat Company where she retired in 1983.
She is survived by her four daughters, Belinda (Richard) Fadness, Bismarck, Beverly Froemke, Lisbon, Renae (Wayne) Even, Bismarck, and Rebecca (Steven) Hooker, Bismarck; eight grandchildren and seven great grandchildren; brothers Ray (Anna) Hoffmann, El Dorado, KS, Donald (Betty) Hoffmann, Watford City, Leonard (Lillian) Hoffmann, Watford City; sister Beula (Don) Morgan, Torrance, CA; sisters-in-laws Phyllis Hoffmann, Watford City, and Velma Hoffmann, Orem, UT.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Adolf (Duffy) B. Quinnell; her brothers Raymond Hoffmann, Watford City, Victor Hoffmann, Watford City, and LeRoy Hoffmann, Orem, UT; sisters Viola Grange, Orem, UT and Luella (Sam) Fox, Billings, MT.
