Oscar Christian Wegerle was born Jan. 18, 1931 in Hazen. He graduated from Hazen High School in 1949. Chris attended Wahpeton State School of Science, where he was editor of the Agawasie School yearbook. Chris served in the US Army from August of 1951 to August of 1953.
Chris was united in marriage to the love of his life, Audrey Jankowski on Nov. 29, 1958, in Enderlin. After employment with the Lisbon Gazette in Lisbon, they relocated to Devils Lake. Funeral services for Kurtis A. Dick, 71, Hills, IA, were held March 15, 2012 at Fjelstul Funeral Home in Decorah, IA. Mr. Dick passed away on March 9, 2012 in Atrium Village in Hills, IA.
Kurt loved to live his life to the fullest. Not one to sit still, he enjoyed being on the go. He loved the outdoors the most and spent much time golfing, playing tennis, biking, fishing, hunting, and chopping wood. He was a curious individual who was thoughtful, gentle, friendly and outgoing. Grace S. Weet died on March 11th due to complications of Alzheimer’s disease. She was 91 years old. A long-time resident of Roseville, MN, Grace is survived by her sister Barbara Nolop, her sister-in-law Brigitte Sandager, and three nephews: Bruce, Keith, and Neil Nolop.
