Bobbie Jo LaRocque

Bobbie Jo LaRocque, age 45, of Stirum, formerly of St. John, passed away on Saturday, March 31, 2012 at the Belcourt Hospital, Belcourt.

Bobbie Jo “Cricket” LaRocque was born on Dec. 18, 1966 at Belcourt, to Robert Ruppelius and Joann (Bercier) LaRocque.  She attended school in St. John and graduated there.

Bobbie Jo was united in marriage to Richard Murphy for 18 years and together they had three children; Kayla, Cameron, and Jordan.  She later married Kenny Keller on June 20, 2008 at St. John.  Bobbie Jo worked as a gamer in Gwinner for many years, as a Certified Nurse Aide in Lisbon, and many other jobs, including being a wonderful homemaker and mother.  She loved to cook and often talked of going off to culinary school.  Her family and friends all knew what a great cook she was.  Bobbie Jo was well traveled, even going to visit France and Germany.  She was an avid fan of the Green Bay Packers.  

Bobbie Jo passed away on March 31, 2012 in Belcourt at the young age of 45 years old, surrounded by her loving family.  Bobbie Jo touched the lives of many people and will be greatly missed by all.

Bobbie Jo is survived by her husband, Kenny Keller of Stirum; daughter, Kayla Murphy of Wahpeton; sons, Cameron Murphy of Fargo and Jordan Murphy of Gwinner; mother, Joann LaRocque of St. John; and siblings, Henry (Patricia) LaRocque of St. John, Donald (Judy) LaRocque of St. John, Victoria Bercier of St. John, Jackie (Harold) Blessum of St. John, Mary (Aaron) Vandal of St. John, Kenneth (Lorie) LaRocque of St. John, and William LaRocque of Belcourt.

She was preceded in death by her father and her grandparents.

Casket bearers were Cole Allick, Colin Vanal, Mike Vandal, Aaron Vandal, Jeffrey Langan, James Langan, and David LaRocque.

Honorary bearers were all family members and friends.

Readers were Elizabeth B. Schmitz and Juby LaRocque.

Eucharistic gifts by Mary Lee and Aaron Vandal.

Funeral Mass was be held on Wednesday, Apr. 11, 2012 in the Church with Fr. Fred Alexander presiding.

Burial in the Holy Cross Cemetery, St. John.

Elick Funeral Home, Rolla, was in charge of arrangements.
