The Lisbon girl’s 400 relay team of Karlene Lorenz, Kali Olson, Ashley Berg, and Karli Freeberg joined Erik Heitkamp in the triple jump as the Broncos newest state qualifiers.

Anthony Finstad, Erik Heitkamp, and Veronica Munkeby were selected by their teammates as the Broncos track and field athletes of the week for their performances during the weeks of April 20 – 28.

The Bronco girls’ track team finally caught and passed their rivals from Milnor-Wyndmere-Lidgerwood. In three previous match-ups, MWL had taken home the team trophy while the Broncos had come up just short with three second-place finishes. The defending state champion Oak Grove boys’ golf team placed three in the top four as they won the Lisbon invitational on Monday, April 21, at the Bissell Golf Course. Corey Sampson, Oak Grove, won medalist honors with his score of 79 edging teammate, Jody Severson by just one stroke.
